Jan Düsterhöft holds a MA in Islamic Studies, Persinate Studies and Indology from the University of Goettingen (Germany), where he focused on radical Islam and Anti-Muslim racism/Islamophobia as well as the production and transfer of knowledge about Muslims and Islam in Europe.
He has worked in various research projects on the representation of Islam and Muslims in German textbooks and contributed to publications on Anti-Muslim sentiments.
