Lia Goldman joined the Choosing Islamic Conservatism project as a Qualitative Researcher in November 2025. Working directly with Professor Masooda Bano she brings strong qualitative research skills to the project focusing on studying state policies and pro-Palestinian political and activist networks in Europe. She works in English, French, German, and Portuguese.
Lia holds an MPhil in Politics and International Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Politics and International Relations from University College London. Before joining ODID, she worked at the United Nations, the UK Parliament, and in academic research roles, contributing to projects on gender-responsive governance, peace and security, humanitarian education, civilian agency and collective action in conflict-affected settings.
